Books / art / Europe

Art publishing. based in Europe. about Europe.

The renaissance of what we can hold

The quiet return of physical things

What we believe

Art should leave the screen and land in your hands. KULTURA publishes hardcover editions of European photography, painting, illustration, and writing — curated with intention, printed with care, made to last longer than any feed.

Everything is digital. Algorithms generate, feeds replace galleries, and AI replicates a painting before it dries. We have never been more saturated with images, or more starved of objects.

Print is having its renaissance — not as nostalgia, but as resistance. A book is a thing that exists. A spine, a page, a weight in your hand. You can keep it on a shelf for twenty years and find it still there.

Your art deserves attention, not a passing glance in a feed. Give it a life offline: bound in a book someone can hold, keep, and find again. That is what KULTURA is for.

Why artists choose us

Books that keep working

Artists choose KULTURA because they value books, and because we edit, publish, and promote those books as part of a living European art world.

The book as object

We treat each edition as something worth holding: carefully edited, designed, printed, and made to last beyond the scroll.

Edited and published

We shape the publication around the work, bring it into the KULTURA catalog, and promote it as a finished cultural object.

A European route

We work to push our books into bookstores, museums, and cultural spaces across Europe, helping art find readers in the real world.

How it works

From submission to shelf

We run open calls for each edition. Here is the short version of what happens between sending us work and seeing it printed.

  1. 01

Submit through the current open call — up to ten files, a short statement, no portfolio review.

  2. 02

We read every submission ourselves and reply within a week, either way.

  3. 03

Selected artists pay the participation fee, send a bio, profile photo, and final artwork; we set the work into the book.

  4. 04

The edition is printed, bound, and added to the KULTURA catalog. You receive copies.

  5. 05

The book becomes available on the largest vendors — Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and other major retailers — so readers anywhere can find it.
